Limited Edition Iya Ruffle Sleeve Adire Dress

A good choice if you are looking for a day to nightdress. A cross between a kaftan and a midi dress. With gorgeous ruffled sleeves, a mandarin collar and a belt to nip the dress at the waist. It has side pockets.

The fabric is 100% cotton with brocade details.

This dress is made from resist-dyed 100% Adire cotton. Each piece of material is hand-dyed by women artisans in Abeokuta, Nigeria. They use traditional skills, which in most cases have been passed down to them through many generations of their family. Their craftswomanship means that each piece is unique.

To get the print effect on this fabric, straight stitches were sewn on it before it was dyed. After dyeing, the stitches were removed. You may notice tiny threads poking out of the fabric especially after the first wash. This is not a fault. You can easily trim them off.

As each dress is unique, you might notice slight irregularities or differences in the colour of the garment as a result of our production processes. The colour may change over time.

Care

Think of our earth first, wash only as needed. Gentle hand wash with like colours. Colour may bleed. Wash inside out. Do not wring, rub or twist. Iron medium heat.

Our sizes are different from high-street stores. Please measure yourself with a tape measure before ordering. Our measurements refer to the size of our clothes, so for a good fit, you should check that your measurements are less.
