 Role Overview:

We're looking for a creative marketing and social media expert with previous experience in the fashion business. This person will manage Kemi Telford's brand and the founder's social media presence. They will devise and execute imaginative campaigns on a variety of platforms. All forms of sales and marketing activity will be considered: this person is expected to be proactive about suggesting new ideas and approaches. As such, they should have previous experience in a wide range of sales and marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Content Development:
  • Develop a detailed content strategy for Kemi Telford and the founder's account, covering product launches, behind-the-scenes content, and community engagement.
  • Stay updated with fashion and social media trends to keep Kemi Telford fresh and relevant.
  • Collaborate with photographers and videographers to plan and storyboard content for social media and campaigns.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Create high-quality content tailored to each platform's unique tone for Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Manage influencer outreach, collaborations, and partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand values and objectives.
  • Engage with our online community, respond to comments, and continue building high-quality relationships with followers.
  • Run paid and organic social media campaigns to boost engagement and drive sales.
  • Search for models and content creators who we can work with and align with the ethos of Kemi Telford.

Performance Analysis:

  • Track key metrics such as follower growth, engagement, reach, and conversions using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
  • Adjust strategies based on performance data to enhance customer acquisition and retention.

         Founder's social media:

  • Manage content for @yvonnekemitelford, highlighting her journey as a founder and sharing behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Ensure a consistent story across the founder's and brand's social media presence.

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist during busy times, such as product launches, events, and urgent content needs.
  • Help with packing orders during peak times or major product drops.
  • Support logistical tasks, including updating the website, working with vendors, and addressing urgent customer service issues.
  • We are a start-up, so be prepared to step in for miscellaneous marketing, administrative, or operational tasks when the business requires extra hands, including order shipping.

Person Requirements:

  • Capable of efficiently managing multiple content streams, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Problem-solver who looks for solutions when faced with challenges and remains calm under pressure.
  • Emotionally intelligent, communicating professionally and directly, and providing constructive responses to feedback.
  • Be camera-friendly and have a dynamic personality.
  • Have a strong personal style and a passion for fashion.
  • Must be London-based and able to travel into Sutton or to an event.

 Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing or social media, focusing on fashion or lifestyle.
  • Proven ability to create and manage successful social media campaigns that drive engagement and sales.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media, especially Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, including trends and algorithms.
  • Highly creative with excellent design skills, proficient in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills for crafting compelling brand stories.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and community engagement.
  • Bonus: Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Klaviyo) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).

Compensation:

Competitive hourly or project-based rate, depending on experience—initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension.
