About This Piece

One customer told us: "This is a beautiful dress for a summer party. Unique!"

A smocked midi dress cut from two contrasting screen-printed cottons. The bodice is fully smocked, so it stretches and hugs the body. It is finished with sculptural sleeves that you can wear on or off the shoulder.

Handmade in small numbers in Surulere, Lagos by our seamstress Helen.

Before You Order

The chest says 28". Will it fit me?

28" is the measurement before stretching. The smocked bodice stretches by up to 8", to about 36" at the chest and 36" at the waist. Please do not stretch it further than this, as the smocking can break. For a comfortable fit, your bust and waist should be 36" or less.

What It's Made Of

Fabric

  • 100% cotton

Care

  • Hand wash in cold water, or use a gentle cold machine cycle.
  • Turn inside out and wash with similar colours.
  • Do not wring, twist or rub. Gently press the water out.
  • Do not pull or overstretch the smocked bodice, even when wet.
  • No bleach. No tumble dryer.
  • Hang to dry in the shade, away from direct sun.
  • Iron on the reverse side, on a medium heat. Do not iron over the smocking.
  • A gentle professional dry clean is also fine.

Cotton is a natural fibre, so it may shrink a little (up to 5%) and the colours may soften over time. This is normal and part of its character.
Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 working days. During launches, sale periods and other busy times, dispatch may take a little longer.

Once dispatched, delivery usually takes:

  • 2–5 working days within the UK
  • 3–7 working days internationally

UK orders are shipped with Royal Mail or DHL, depending on order value. International orders are shipped with DHL.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

International orders

Duties and taxes are paid by the customer.

  • USA: duties and taxes are calculated and paid at checkout.
  • All other countries: duties and taxes are calculated by your country's customs and paid before your parcel is delivered.

Returns

Returns can be registered within 14 days of delivery through our returns portal. Once registered, items must be sent back within 14 days.

Items must be returned unworn, unwashed and in original, saleable condition with tags attached.

Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless an item is faulty or incorrect.

We offer exchanges for UK customers on items of the same price.
